Sonny M. Sangemino FIC, CSA, serves as Fraternal Counsellor for the Madore Agency in Eastern Ontario. He represents several councils in the Ottawa region. Sonny lives in Kanata with his wife Julie, daughter Natasha and son Roman.
Sonny joined the Knights of Columbus in 1991 and served in his Councils in several capacities. He has served as Warden, Recorder, Membership Recruitment & Retention Chairman and as a member of several committees. He was exemplified into the Fourth Degree on August 12, 1999 and is a member of Cartier Assembly #860.
Previous to joining the Knights of Columbus field force, Sonny enjoyed a successful career as a Senior Manager for a division of a large Canadian telecommunications company from 1992 through 1998.
Sonny joined the Knights of Columbus field force June 1998. As your Knights of Columbus fraternal Counsellor, Sonny has dedicated himself to the principles and ideals upon which the Knights of Columbus was founded: to carry out Father McGivney's vision to protect the family and assist Member's and their families during difficult times. His continued success has earned him many distinctions:
  • Earned the Fraternal Insurance Counsellor (FIC) designation in January 2000.
  • Member of NAFIC (National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counsellors) since 1999. Qualified for Gold Production Award and the President's Production Awards.
  • Repeat recipient of NAFIC's Quality Service Award.
  • Repeat qualifying member of the Supreme Knight's Sales Club, which honors the top agents in the Order (based on sales and service).
  • Repeat qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) is The Premier Association of Financial Professionals, which consists of the top three percent of financial service professionals in North America and the top six percent in the world.
  • Member of ADVOCIS, Canada's premiere professional association for financial advisors (formerly the Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors).
  • Earned the CSA (Certified Senior Advisor) designation in 2005.
  • Member of Canadian Academy of Senior Advisors (CASA).
  • Member of Knights of Columbus Very Important Proposers (VIP) Club.
Sonny continues to expand his skill set and is dedicated to continuing education.
